Before the storm hit, Hailey received her one and only swimming lesson of the year and learned a ton. Phil has taught her well over the years to use her "diggers" in order to swim with more power and proficiency. She has learned well and we thank you Phil. However, Hailey gave all the credit to her father, which you will see in the following video. She made me proud.
After we ran in from the storm both families spent 45 minutes looking for little Clare's bathing suit. Phil lost the suit while he was folding it (don't ask). Corrie told him to check in the pack-n- play, which he swears he did. Well if he would have checked the pack-n-play at all, he would have found it and saved that time for other fun things. Instead, we were all running around the apartment searching everywhere including the trash can. Stacey even pulled some beds apart assuming Sophia had hid it.
The funniest part of the night came when we went out to dinner. We took them to our favorite restaurant, "the Bridge Tender Inn & Bar". Stacey and I have eaten there for lunch 4-5 times in the last couple of years. We love it! It's cheap, loud, great food, and has a fun garage like out door atmosphere. We described it to Phil and Corrie as "a cheap little hole in the wall decorated in Green Bay Packer paraphernalia."
We have been there for lunch, not DINNER. The dinner menu is much different. $20-$40 a plate different, which we discovered only after our drinks were ordered. Trying to save our vacation savings Stacey inquired into the change of menu's and we were told they switch over at 5pm. Well Phil, there's that 45 minutes you could have saved us. Tonight we will be sleeping on a park bench instead of our wonderful condo that we can no longer afford.
We also sat inside where a pin could be heard dropping. As the hostess sat our party, Corrie and I noticed a table of four adults staring at us like at an exhibit at Busch Garden's. It might be the fact that there were 20 other open tables in the restaurant and the hostess chose to sit us and our four children directly beside them, or it might be the fact that they were just really rude. You can make that decision for yourself because I felt if we could be starred at for 45 minutes, I could video tape them. They became a little camera shy and opted to look out the window while I was filming.
Thank God our children were more behaved then I have ever seen them act in a public place. It could have gotten really ugly in there.

We laughed SO HARD as we read through this post.
On our way home, we talked about how we will remember this much more than an average dinner, at an average restaurant, with average people. This was an experience...albeit expensive...it was well worth it!
Did you get the 200 points for hitting those darn Brits?
Phil wanted to add that some of the 45 minutes was spent ("wasted") on Facebook.
We can't wait to see the pictures from today!
Thanks for all the fun and good laughs. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
Love you guys,
The Hillary 3
