On Saturday Micah was able to get the day off which surprised us because he was supposed to work straight through the holiday weekend, including the holiday. We decided to spend the day with our friends the DeKam's and the Shaffer's and go to the beach to relax. We ended up going to Grand Haven Beach. I left the camera in the car, I know, I know, (that is sooo not like me not to mention not wise to leave my equipment in a hot car) but I didn't it because I was worried about watching it on the beach.
We had a great day playing in the sand, building sand castles, watching pirate ships, and visiting with friends. We ran into our neighbors Barb and Steve and their Daughter Rachael and her hubby Jason as well as Toby and Jodi VanEss. It was a relaxing day for the most part. The girls (Hailey, Sophia and I) even walked the pier together. For dinner we ate at Butch's Burritos and then went to Temptations for ice cream. I had to pull out camera at Temptations, Sophia got a huge ice cream cone, Blue Moon flavor of course, and well, the pictures say it all....

Sophia, my dear, you certainly know how to enjoy your ice cream cone. It is so important to enjoy the food as we eat it, and you certainly are.
